B5 109 - Grail

Uno strano individuo che dedica la propria esistenza alla ricerca del Santo Graal arriva su Babylon 5. Nel frattempo, alcuni Lurker scompaiono in circostanze misteriose.

• Babylon 1 e Babylon 2 sono state sabotate. Babylon 3 esplose prima del completamento della costruzione. Babylon 4 svanì nel nulla poco dopo l'entrata in servizio.

• Anche in questo episodio (come era già accaduto in Believers), Londo non ha alcuna intenzione di aiutare (Gajic in questo caso), poiché non ci guadagnerebbe niente, ma Vir ha già preparato tutto e l'ambasciatore ne è irritato.
• Dopo n'grath (Soul Hunter), facciamo conoscenza con un nuovo "boss" del Downbelow, Deuce.
• Aldous Gajic ha preso il cognome da quello del marito di Mira Furlan, Goran Gajić.
• In questo episodio compare il primo alieno completamente realizzato in computer grafica della serie, il Feeder na'ka'leen.
• I Minbari rispettano profondamente le persone che spendono la propria vita alla ricerca di qualcosa.
• Il Sacro Graal ricorda le leggende arturiane, che permeeranno numerosi episodi futuri della serie.
• Tra le guest star di questa puntata compare anche John C. Flinn III, che interpreta il suo primo ruolo davanti alla telecamera (è anche il responsabile della cinematografia della serie) dopo la veloce comparsata in By Any Means Necessary.

Zocalo

• Durante le riprese, J. Michael Straczynski aveva l'abitudine di mangiare assieme agli attori. Proprio basandosi su quanto ascoltato durante una conversazione a tavola, ha trovato le parole giuste per la scena finale, e la battuta di Ivanova in particolare ("No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow. [...] Boom, sooner or later. Boom!!!"). Cambia decisamente il contesto della frase, visto che il racconto di Claudia Christian da cui ha preso ispirazione riguardava ben altro: la frase era stata infatti la risposta del padre dell'attrice alla domanda della figlia, in età adolescenziale, sul quando le sarebbe finalmente "spuntato" il seno. Fate anche caso ai movimenti con le mani di Claudia Christian mentre recita la battuta.
