- Con la visita del presidente, Babylon 5 riceve "in regalo" una nuova squadriglia di Starfury, ma il reclutamento ed addestramento dei piloti e la preparazione delle baie di attracco destinate ai nuovi caccia influirà direttamente sul bilancio della stazione.
- La prima motivazione a cui si pensa dopo l'incidente è che sia stato provocato dalla stanchezza dei lavoratori agli attracchi, sovraccarichi di lavoro. Abbiamo già avuto sentore di questa situazione in Mind War, e sarà anche elemento principale della prossima puntata, By Any Means Necessary.
- Garibaldi aveva l'abitudine di attaccarsi alla bottiglia quando le cose si mettevano male. In questo episodio, lo vediamo fare i conti con questo passato (e lo vediamo anche tornare a bere in una situazione di difficoltà).
- I Drazi sono una specie dall'attitudine violenta, come abbiamo già avuto modo di vedere in The War Prayer e Deathwalker. Saranno protagonisti di altre puntate nel corso della serie.
- La scena finale, in cui Kemmer entra nella nave, è in realtà realizzata quasi interamente in computer grafica: solo la scaletta è reale, il resto (i muri, la porta, la nave stessa) è opera degli addetti agli effetti speciali.
- Il nome del generale della Forza Terrestre è un chiaro riferimento a Douglas Netter, produttore esecutivo di Babylon 5.

- Circa le cause che portano Garibaldi a riavvicinarsi alla bottiglia, J. Michael Straczynski ha affermato: "The reason we had Garibaldi go through all the hoops he went through before finally falling into the bottle is because simply having Lianna show up and depress Garibaldi isn't, frankly, sufficient motivation. I don't buy it. We wanted to strip away everything he had, and leave him with only himself. So we took away his job, his reputation, his money, his home, neutralized his friends wherever possible... it was deliberate and systematic to peel him down to the bare essentials, to just Garibaldi. Take him all the way down before taking him back up again. Because it's more dramatically interesting".
- Rispondendo ad una specifica domanda, J. Michael Straczynski ha rivelato di essere sufficientemente esperto di problemi di alcoolismo: "What do I know about alcoholics, to portray them? Well, aside from a degree in clinical psychology, and some internship work in the area, I come from a family with alcoholism going back at least four generations, and I'm talking heavy duty.
