- I due telepati che Byron aveva promesso a Garibaldi (The Paragon of Animals) hanno iniziato il loro addestramento.
- Garibaldi vuole assegnare una mansione ai telepati e sta cercando di apparire ragionevole, ma questi ultimi si dimostrano estremamente irritanti; pare che abbiano definitivamente giudicato i "normali" come una causa persa e non se ne curino più di tanto.
- In questo episodio, per la seconda volta una decisione di Lochley viene cambiata, anche se stavolta per mano di Delenn e non di Sheridan (No Compromises).
- Il Mora'dum, la "applicazione del terrore", è parte dell'addestramento di un Ranger. Marcus ne aveva accennato a Franklin in A Late Delivery from Avalon. Franklin sembrava interessato, ma Marcus gli aveva fatto capire che nella cosa c'è molto poco di piacevole.
- Se Mora'dum significa "applicazione del terrore" e, come noto, "zha" rappresenta il concetto di futuro (vedasi Entil'zha e Isil'zha), si può ipotizzare che Z'ha'dum possa essere tradotto come qualcosa di simile a "terribile distruzione del futuro". Il concetto di distruzione e' reso graficamente dall'apostrofo che divide in due "zha".
- Questo episodio fornisce ampi spazi alla descrizione delle pratiche d'allenamento dei Ranger. "Sech" è il titolo dei "professori". Sech Turval è della casta religiosa e Sech Durhan di quella guerriera. Quest'ultimo era stato menzionato da Marcus Cole come suo istruttore in Grey 17 Is Missing, durante il combattimento con Neroon. Sempre nello stesso episodio, Durhan viene nominato come maggior esperto tra i Minbari nel combattimento con il Denn'bok (la staffa o asta retrattile usata, tra gli altri, da Marcus).
- Nonostante la conclusione della guerra civile, si può vedere che alcune frizioni tra le caste Minbari sono rimaste, anche se ridotte in magnitudine rispetto a quanto visto in precedenza, assumendo il ruolo di battute o scherno affettuoso.
- Non è chiaro che posizione abbia tenuto Lochley durante la guerra civile. Sicuramente, per sua stessa ammissione, non ha disertato, ma questo non significa che abbia combattuto dalla parte di Clark.
- Tra Garibaldi e Lochley cresce una certa tensione, che Zack cerca invano di mitigare. A quanto pare, Lochley non ha mai vissuto alcun ordine ricevuto come moralmente dubitabile. La popolazione della stazione applaude Lochley, ma aveva anche applaudito Sheridan dopo la secessione dalla Terra, in Severed Dreams. Mutevole folla!
- Il commento di Garibaldi sul fatto che lui non cambia mai è abbastanza ridicolo, considerato il tragitto del personaggio nella quarta stagione.
- I Ranger vogliono che Tannier affronti il suo terrore, ma senza concedergli particolari vantaggi: nella sfida con Trace, Tannier sarà solo. Detto questo si deve però tener presente che Trace non ha alcun allenamento con il Denn'bok, rendendo poco imparziale il combattimento. Ad ogni modo, quando Trace passa ai pugni viene comunque sconfitto sonoramente.
- Turval dice che Marcus si unì ai Ranger per i motivi sbagliati, e sembra che Lennier stia andando nella stessa direzione, provando in tutti i modi a dimostrare le sue capacità a Delenn, che forse lo ha capito e ne è turbata.
- Lochley sembra sapere molto più di quanto si poteva supporre sul conto di Sheridan e questo mette a disagio Delenn.
- I Ranger sventano una minaccia che imcombe su Zack. Il religioso Tannier si sacrifica per salvare una vita, mentre il guerriero Rastenn è pronto a ignorare il tutto, quasi rievocando le parole dei membri della casta guerriera nel Consiglio dei Grigi, alla vigilia della guerra civile: "the affairs of others are not our concern". Per essere una casta di guerrieri, pare proprio che si facciano molti problemi ad entrare in combattimento.
- A quanto sembra, N'grath, il boss del Downbelow visto, tra le altre puntate, in Soul Hunter, non si trova più sulla stazione ed altri individui cercano di prenderne il posto.
- Turhan Bey aveva interpretato il ruolo dell'Imperatore Centauri in The Coming of Shadows.
- A quanto pare, la matematica non è la materia preferita di Trace. Quando il suo uomo gli dice che le guardie della Sicurezza si sono spostate tutte due livelli più in alto o uno più in basso, lui commenta che qualsiasi cosa stia accadendo, riguarda "questi tre livelli". Ma in realtà i livelli lasciati liberi dalla Sicurezza non sono tre, ma due, ossia quello in cui si trova lo stesso Trace e quello immediatamente sopra.
