  • Bester dice ad Ivanova: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".
  • In Dust to Dust, Bester rivela a Garibaldi: "There's danger all around us, and whether you like it or not, we may be all that stands between you and the abyss".
Ha commentato così: "I had to re-evaluate who the character was. What made it possible for me to play with what I hope was honesty was that I concluded that there isn't anybody who hasn't some compassion or sensitivity in them, even if it has been repressed or destroyed or blunted or very controlled".
I'll tell you the truth. I felt so strongly about that scene I was in tears from the beginning of that day, every time we did it, and the tears weren't reserved for the end of the scene". Andreas commenta così: "Finally, after four hours of gut-wrenching feeling from me, the director said 'well we should have one where you're not all that emotional' and that's the one they kept, where they just allowed a little emotion at the end. They had take after take of raw feeling, but they wanted the tear from her, they didn't want it from G'Kar".
  • Mira Furlan ha detto di ammirare profondamente Andreas Katsulas: "He inspires me, he also intimidates me by the quality of his work. But here we really clicked, I think. There was something going on completely different to what we were planning".
J. Michael Straczynski ha detto: "That's why I had telepaths in there in the first place. The whole theory is that telepaths, as somebody even points out, came out a hundred years before - give or take - and that was due to Vorlon interference. So the logical question is why were they created and why were they corrupted. That premise goes back to the pilot that's why I had them there. If they weren't going to be used in the Shadow War they wouldn't be in the story at all".

Bester: Captain?
Sheridan: I'm thinking it over.

Tempo: 07:29
G'Kar: I can only wait so long.
Ivanova: I thought your patience was infinite.
G'Kar: Since space and time are curved, the infinite sooner or later bends back upon itself and ends up where it begun. And so have I.
Tempo: 08:23
Bester: You know, if this keeps up, I'm gonna start thinking that people around here... just don't like me.
Tempo: 10:46
Bester: I was expecting the captain.
Ivanova: He sent me.
Bester: Did he? He has a better sense of humor than I thought.
Tempo: 11:33
Bester (ad Ivanova): You know, it's come to my attention lately that we have a common enemy. There's an old saying: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." President Clark isn't calling the shots back home, there're others whispering in his ear. I don't know who they are or where they are from, but do I know they are not Human. I have only heard one name for them: Shadows. My guess is you know more about them than I do, but you are probably not interested in sharing that information. Are you?
Tempo: 12:12
Bester (ad Ivanova): You know the real reason you don't like me, commander? It's the jealousy of evolution. Normals like you are obsolete. The future belongs to telepaths... and I intend to make sure that future happens. One way or another.
Tempo: 14:58
Sheridan: So, how did you find out about all of this?
Bester: I'm a telepath... work it out.
Tempo: 18:13
Delenn: We knew that the Shadows, the "ancient enemies", as you call them, had returned. We knew they were rebuilding their forces preparing to strike. We knew that they were seeking allies and that the Centauri were the first to enlist. When you came back from the area near Z'ha'dum, and warned us about the enemies' return, we could've spoken out. We could've confirmed your story. We chose to remain silent.
G'Kar: Who is "we"?
Delenn: The Grey Council. I was still a part of them at that time. Once the decision was made, I could not disobey.
G'Kar: So you stayed silent. And with the help of these... Shadows, the Centauri destroyed my world. Enslaved or killed millions of my people.
Delenn: G'Kar, if we had spoken out, if we had come public with what we knew, most of the other worlds would never have believed us. It would have changed nothing. Your world would still have fallen. With one critical difference. There are billions of Narns still surviving on your world. If we had exposed the Shadows, they could have struck openly before we had time to prepare, and none of your people would have survived. G'Kar, under the Centauri there is at least the hope of survival. With the Shadows, there is no hope at all. We had to choose between the death of millions and the death of billions, whole planets.
Tempo: 21:02
G'Kar (a Delenn): "Some must be sacrificed for all to be saved." First I took that as a revelation for the future. Now I see that it is as much about how we got here as about where we are going. I think that one sentence is the greatest burden I have ever known.
Tempo: 21:31
G'Kar: You are right, nothing would've been changed. Except that my people would now be a dead race.
Delenn: You have come a long way, G'Kar. Further than I would've guessed. Sheridan's promise binds me as well it does him. We will take you into the Council, G'Kar. And someday, when all this is over, perhaps you will find it in your heart to forgive me.
G'Kar: Perhaps, but not today.
Tempo: 31:36
Carolyn: The machine says: "Kill, to protect." The sign hurts us. We can not hear the machine.
Franklin: What machine?
Carolyn: Live. In my mind. I am the machine. We join, we fight. It is dark. Terrible. Help me, please, make it stop talking in my mind.
Tempo: 34:58
Sheridan: What did you see inside her mind before she passed out?
Bester: Those things. Those Shadow vessels. How much do you know about them?
Ivanova: Delenn said they are some kind of organic technology and they use living beings as... as their central operating system.
Tempo: 36:17
Bester (a Sheridan ed Ivanova): Your war... is now my war.
Tempo: 37:24
Ivanova: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
Sheridan: You sound dubious.
Ivanova (su Bester): He's still a Psi-Cop. I don't trust him, never will. He has a vested interest in helping us for now, but once this is all over, he'll turn on us. You do know that?
Tempo: 38:43
Garibaldi: Hello, hello, hello, and... hello!
Sheridan: Michael, you look like the proverbial cat that ate the equally proverbial canary.
Tempo: 38:53
Garibaldi: I've got it. I've got it. I've got it. It's right here. It's right here.
G'Kar: Do not thump the Book of G'Quan. It is disrespectful.
Tempo: 40:45
Sheridan: We have a weapon. My God, people, we have a weapon.
Tempo: 40:56
Ivanova: The Shadows have just started attacking Brakiri space, openly. They are not hiding anymore. They are finally on the move.
