Laureata alla Carnegie Mellon University, Patricia Tallman ha iniziato a recitare fin dall'età scolare in numerosi spettacoli teatrali. Dopo la laurea ha lavorato a New York, in teatro e in alcune soap come The Guiding Light (Sentieri). In seguito si è trasferita a Los Angeles, dove ha girato numerosi film horror, tra i quali Tales from the Dark Side (I delitti del gatto nero), Creepshow 2 e Night of the Living Dead (La notte dei morti viventi). Tra gli altri film interpretati da Patricia Tallman figurano Kalifornia, Austin Powers ed Austin Powers 2.
Per quanto riguarda le serie televisive, Patricia Tallman compare in Dark Skies, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager ed Angel.
